Getting the best possible live sound is reliant on performers and engineers working together and everyone understanding how numerous small decisions impact the end result, particularly when set up time is limited which it always is!

All to often, performers are not aware of what they can do to help ensure that they get a good live sound.

Similarly, engineers might understand all of the technicalities but unless they are aware of the issues that musicians face they will often have an uphill struggle to achieve good results.

This workshop will take a look at both the technical and people aspects of achieving a good live sound.   We will also look at how the performer's and engineer's purchasing decisions impact on how things sound. Sometimes the answer can be counter-intuitive.

We will consider how performers and engineers typically interact when under time pressure to set up and what can be done to "oil the wheels".
