Robin is a 22 year old singer/songwriter and music producer based just outside of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. He grew up playing in a young people’s folk group and singing in choirs so music has been a lifelong passion.
I am a 22 year old singer/songwriter and music producer based just outside of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. I grew up playing in a young people’s folk group and singing in choirs so music has been a lifelong passion of mine.
My interests in guitar, singing and music production have allowed me to enjoy a wide range of genres but I have always returned to folk as a basis for my songs. I have released a 2 part EP called ‘Journey Songs’ exploring stripped-back acoustic guitar and voice arrangements with key influences of 1970s Nick Drake, John Martyn and Joni Mitchell.
In September 2023 I released my debut album ‘Freedom Today’ on Bandcamp. This project was entirely self written, recorded and produced as the final part of my Music and Sound Recording degree in York. The album melds a similar organic folk songwriting style with rock and ambient/electronic influences through creative sound design.
