Gary Woolley

Gary has been playing the guitar and song writing since the age of 14. Early years were predominantly spent playing in bands in Leicester and Cardiff, but after moving to Salisbury he rekindled his teenage love of the American, Canadian and British singer songwriters, particularly Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, John Martyn, Nic Jones, Emmylou Harris, John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, and more latterly Pete Morton and the wealth of young singer song writers coming through the ranks.

Gary moved to Cambridge in 1994 to work at the Junction and eventually in 2011 found a music partner in multi-instrumentalist Matt Kelly. Together as Kelly and Woolley they have now recorded three CDs and have played at most clubs and festivals in the Eastern Region.
