Chris Bullen

Chris began his career as a recording engineer and went on to compose and produce soundtracks for video and film. He continues to write music and perform in rock and folk bands.

Until 2014, Chris ran the High Barn record label, recording studio and music venue. During this time he was also a member of the Arts Council Escalator panel for contemporary music. High Barn Records released around 25 albums with both well established and new artists. Artists performing at the High Barn music venue included Matt Cardle, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Lucie Silvas, Amy Wadge, Newton Faulkner, Glenn Tilbrook, Shakatak, Wishbone Ash, The Strawbs and many others. Throughout his career Chris has been a gigging musician, working as guitarist and bass player in various pop, rock and folk bands performing a mix of original material and covers. Chris has produced albums for a wide range of artists. In the folk genre, artists he has worked with include Ashley Hutchings, Ken Nicol, John Buckley, Marina Florance, Two Coats Colder, Sound Tradition, Moses, The Rainbow Chasers and many more.
